Women in aviation and air mobility sector bring valuable perspectives that can drive innovation, sustainability, and inclusivity, writes Mervat Sultan

Mervat Sultan has been serving as the President of the Women in Aviation Middle East Chapter since 2013. She holds the record as one of the first women in the Arab world to obtain an FAA GCAA flight dispatch licence.
Outside of the organisation, Sultan is busy working as a finance manager at Ramjet Aviation, a private aviation company that specialises in the acquisition, sale, and appraisal of corporate aircraft.
Sultan paved the way for women in the industry in the region to be recognized while promoting education and inspiring other women to empower themselves. The group is also actively involved in various outreach projects.
A passionate flying enthusiast, Sultan was inducted as a fellow at the Royal Aeronautical Society in 2017.
