Akasa Air appoints Naarayan T V as its Chief Marketing Officer

Naarayan brings a unique combination of global perspective, creative vision, and data-driven strategy, says airline chief.

Mumbai: Akasa Air has announced the appointment of Naarayan T V as its new Chief Marketing Officer (CMO), effective August 29, 2025. 

In his new role, Naarayan will lead marketing, corporate communications and ESG, customer experience, eCommerce, loyalty, and partnerships, while also serving on the airline’s Executive Committee.

The appointment comes at a time when Akasa Air is accelerating its expansion and working towards its goal of becoming one of the world’s top 30 airlines by 2030.

With more than 20 years of experience across eCommerce, fintech, banking, and consumer brands, Naarayan has held senior leadership roles in marketing and customer strategy. 

His career includes transformative work at IDFC FIRST Bank, PayPal, and other global companies, where he has driven brand-building, digital marketing, product design, sponsorships, and large-scale campaign rollouts. He has been recognised as one of India’s leading CMOs, with accolades such as the DMA Asia Trail Blazer Award in 2023.

Vinay Dube, Founder and CEO of Akasa Air, said the appointment highlights the growing importance of marketing and customer experience in the airline’s next phase of growth. “Naarayan brings a unique combination of global perspective, creative vision, and data-driven strategy.
