President Sheikh Mohamed announces Artificial Intelligence council for Abu Dhabi

President Sheikh Mohamed has declared the establishment of an artificial intelligence council in Abu Dhabi.
In his role as the Ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Mohamed revealed the formation of the Artificial Intelligence and Advanced Technology Council (AIATC) on Monday evening.
According to the state news agency Wam, the council will be tasked with formulating and executing policies and strategies pertaining to research, infrastructure, and investments in artificial intelligence and advanced technology in Abu Dhabi.
Wam stated, “The establishment of the AIATC underscores a firm belief in the significance of technological leadership in shaping the economy of the future.”
“The council will collaborate with local and global partners to devise plans and research programs aimed at elevating Abu Dhabi’s standing in the realms of artificial intelligence and advanced technology.”
“It aligns with Abu Dhabi’s strategy to position the emirate as a preeminent global center for investments, partnerships, and talent in the sector.”
Sheikh Tahnoun bin Zayed, Deputy Ruler of Abu Dhabi, will assume the role of chairman of the AIATC, with Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi, serving as vice chairman.
