Saudi to Showcase $100 Billion Investment Opportunity at the Future Aviation Forum 2024 

Saudi Arabia is gearing up to present over $100 billion worth of investment opportunities as part of its Saudi Aviation Strategy, with a focus on attracting the world’s largest aviation investors. Scheduled for next month in Riyadh, the Future Aviation Forum (FAF24) will serve as a platform to showcase these opportunities, spanning airports, airlines, ground services, cargo, and logistics. Taking place from May 20 to 22, the Forum’s Investment Showcase will spotlight various projects and incentives aimed at enticing investments into the Kingdom’s rapidly growing aviation sector. Among the investment opportunities, airports account for over $50 billion, with new aircraft orders estimated at around $40 billion. The remaining $10 billion encompasses other projects, including $5 billion allocated to special logistics areas surrounding the main airports in Riyadh, Jeddah, and Dammam.

Saleh Al Jasser, Minister for Transport and Logistics Services, expressed the unparalleled nature of the aviation investment opportunities, emphasizing the ambitious goals of the Saudi Aviation Strategy to triple passenger numbers, connect to over 250 destinations, and handle 330 million passengers and 4.5 million tons of cargo by 2030.

Khalid Al Falih, Minister for Investment, highlighted Saudi Arabia’s vision as a global investment hub, targeting $3.3 trillion in investments by 2030. He underscored the significance of the aviation sector in driving the Kingdom’s broader economic transformation, stating that the aviation investment showcase would provide investors with unprecedented access to participate in this transformation.

The Investment Showcase will feature investor briefings, meetings, and panels focusing on major projects such as the King Salman International Airport in Riyadh and public-private partnerships for other international airports. Additionally, opportunities in cargo and logistics, Advanced Air Mobility, and business aviation will be presented. Aviation suppliers will also receive insights into expansion plans for Riyadh Air and other leading regional airlines, with global executives from prominent aviation companies in attendance. Key speakers include the Minister of Transport and Logistics Services, the Minister of Investment, and CEOs from Saudi and global aviation and investment sectors.
