In a recent update, Archer Aviation has secured Part 135 Certification from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), making it the second eVTOL company to receive such approval. This certification allows Archer to begin commercial operations with its emission-free flying taxis under a broader testing framework.

Adam Goldstein, CEO of Archer Aviation, expressed his pride in this achievement, stating, “We are honored to receive the Part 135 Air Carrier & Operator Certificate from the FAA, which represents a significant step toward launching commercial air taxi services using our Midnight aircraft. Our commitment to safety and operational excellence has paved the way for one of the world’s first electric air taxi services, offering a sustainable and low-noise transportation solution across the U.S.”

United Airlines, which announced its investment in 100 of Archer’s aircraft in 2022, also congratulated the company on this milestone. Archer aims to offer competitive pricing comparable to ride-sharing services, ensuring accessibility and affordability for passengers.
