Adani Defence & Aerospace, Prime Aero to Acquire Indamer Technics

Indamer Technics operates a modern greenfield facility spanning 30 acres, equipped with 10 hangars and space for 15 aircraft bays.

Ahmedabad: Adani Defence Systems and Technologies Limited (ADSTL), through its joint venture Horizon Aero Solutions Limited, has signed a definitive agreement with Prime Aero Services LLP to acquire a 100% stake in Indamer Technics Private Limited (ITPL).

ITPL is one of India’s earliest private-sector aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) providers. Horizon is a 50:50 partnership between ADSTL and Prime Aero, owned by Indamer Technics Director Prajay Patel.

Located in Nagpur’s MIHAN Special Economic Zone, ITPL operates a modern greenfield facility spanning 30 acres, equipped with 10 hangars and space for 15 aircraft bays. The company holds approvals from DGCA, FAA (USA), and other international aviation regulators, offering services such as heavy C-checks, lease return inspections, structural repairs, and aircraft painting to both domestic and global clients.

Jeet Adani, Director of Adani Airports, said the acquisition comes at a time when India’s aviation sector—now the third largest globally by passenger traffic—is poised for significant expansion, with over 1,500 aircraft expected to be inducted by Indian carriers in the coming years. “This move advances our ambition to position India as a leading global MRO hub and supports our vision of creating an integrated aviation services ecosystem,” he noted.

Ashish Rajvanshi, CEO of Adani Defence & Aerospace, highlighted that the deal builds on the company’s earlier acquisition of Air Works, further cementing its status as the country’s largest private-sector MRO operator. He added that Nagpur’s central location enhances operational reach and scalability, while synergies with Air Works will drive value through integrated solutions and operational excellence.

Prajay Patel of Prime Aero said the partnership combines Indamer’s engineering expertise with Adani’s infrastructure and growth capital. “Our shared goal is to develop a world-class MRO ecosystem from India, delivering unmatched value to customers and stakeholders worldwide,” he said.
