dnata to provide AI solutions to propel cargo services in Singapore

dnata has formed a collaboration with Speedcargo, a provider of logistics technology solutions, to offer cargo services to Etihad Cargo at Singapore Changi Airport (SIN).

The integration of Speedcargo’s AI-powered Cargo Eye and Assemble solutions into dnata’s facilities will contribute to overall logistical efficiency, digitalization, and optimization of cargo capacity for Etihad Cargo’s daily flights departing from Singapore. The implementation of Cargo Eye and Assemble comes in response to successful trials and decisions made by the airline.

Cargo Eye utilizes advanced 3D technology driven by artificial intelligence to scan and capture precise dimensions, volume data, images, and labels of cargo, creating a comprehensive digital record. This data is then inputted into Assemble, which generates a digital plan that advises dnata’s skilled cargo handling teams on the most effective way to construct a pallet. These innovative solutions ensure that Etihad Cargo maximizes its cargo capacity while improving efficiency and sustainability.

Both Cargo Eye and Assemble seamlessly integrate into dnata’s existing warehouse management system.

dnata’s Singapore facilities are the pioneering site within its expansive global network to integrate Cargo Eye and Assemble technology. Speedcargo is collaborating with dnata to expand this service to additional global stations.
