Dubai Airport Show 2025 wraps up with strong global participation

Dubai: The 24th edition of the Dubai Airport Show 2025 concluded successfully at the Dubai World Trade Centre, drawing more than 6,000 aviation professionals and industry leaders from across the globe.
Over three dynamic days, the event served as a key platform to spotlight emerging technologies, groundbreaking partnerships, and strategic investments reshaping the aviation industry, particularly across the Middle East, Africa, and South Asia (MEASA) region.
Platform for innovation and growth
Held under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, the Airport Show continues to solidify Dubai’s reputation as a hub for aviation innovation. Organized by RX Global, the show hosted more than 140 exhibitors from 22 countries, with over 150 buyers from 70 organizations participating in 3,500+ business meetings through its Business Connect Programme.
With the aviation sector bouncing back from the pandemic and passenger traffic in the Middle East projected to reach 1.1 billion annually by 2040 (up from 405 million in 2019), the event emphasized the urgency of adopting advanced infrastructure and smart technologies to meet future demand.
Key announcements and strategic deals
Among the show’s highlights was a major announcement by Dubai Aviation Engineering Projects (DAEP) awarding a contract to Smiths Detection for state-of-the-art checkpoint scanners across Terminals 1, 2, and 3 at Dubai International Airport. This reflects a broader trend among regional stakeholders investing in next-gen airport systems.
Multiple agreements and joint ventures were signed on the show floor, signaling continued growth and collaboration in the aviation ecosystem.
