Lilium to present the Pioneer Edition of their eVTOL aircraft in Dubai
Next week at the Dubai Airshow, private aviation customers in the Middle East will have the opportunity to witness the debut of the exclusive Pioneer Edition variant of Lilium’s electric Vertical Takeoff and Landing (eVTOL) aircraft. Lilium, a German aircraft manufacturer, will join forces with their newly appointed authorized dealer in the Middle East, ArcosJet, to showcase a cabin mock-up of the four-seat model of the all-electric Lilium Jet. This remarkable aircraft, scheduled to enter commercial service in 2026, is designed to accommodate six passengers.
ArcosJet, based in Dubai, has been serving as an aircraft broker since 2014 and has secured exclusive sales rights for the Lilium Jet among private owners in the United Arab Emirates, Israel, and Cyprus. This partnership marks the fifth international dealership for Lilium, following previous collaborations with EMC Jet in Texas, Volare Aviation in the UK, Air Dynamic in Switzerland, and ASL Group in the Benelux countries. While ArcosJet has committed an undisclosed “commitment fee” to Lilium, they have yet to disclose the number of aircraft they intend to order.
The Lilium Jet boasts an impressive design, featuring 30 ducted electric motors integrated into its wing and canard. With an anticipated range of 250 kilometers (155 miles), the Pioneer Edition is expected to transport four passengers up to 175 kilometers (109 miles) at speeds reaching up to 250 km/h.
In recent weeks, Lilium has initiated the assembly of the initial full-scale prototype and its propulsion system, with plans to achieve its first flight in 2024.
