Menzies renews cargo handling contract with KLM at AMS

The cargo and ground handling agreement between Menzies Aviation and KLM Royal Dutch Airlines at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (AMS) has been extended.
Miguel Gomez, executive vice president for Europe at Menzies Aviation, said, “This extension reflects the mutual trust and success we have built together over the years.”
For the next five years, Menzies Aviation will handle ramp handling and cargo warehousing for all KLM/Martinair freighter operations at AMS.
Koen Bolster, vice president of KLM Cargo Worldwide Operations, said, “This long standing collaboration has been instrumental in our success, and we are confident that together we will continue to provide exceptional cargo and ground handling services to our customers.”
The company‘s largest contract at the primary international airport in the Netherlands is represented by the renewed agreement. AMS teams will oversee over 600 airplane rotations and nearly 100,000 tonnes of cargo annually as a result of the prolongation.
Currently, Menzies Aviation serves the airline in more than ten locations in Europe, Africa, India, and Latin America.
Paul van der Wardt, general manager at Martinair Cargo, said, “We are glad to continue our great partnership after all these years of close cooperation. We are looking forward to further developing the ramp handling activities together with Menzies.”
