In collaboration with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saudia now enables passengers to acquire stopover visas instantly during the booking process.

Passengers holding stopover visas can enjoy a stay of up to 96 hours in Saudi Arabia. During this timeframe, they can engage in activities such as Umrah, explore sacred sites, and visit renowned tourist attractions including UNESCO World Heritage-listed sites such as the breathtaking AlUla desert landscape, vibrant Historic Jeddah, and the lush Al-Ahsa Oasis.

Saudia has streamlined the process, allowing passengers to conveniently pay for both their ticket and visa in one step on the Saudia website. This enhanced pathway reflects the renowned Saudi hospitality, a hallmark of the Saudia brand. The initiative aligns with Vision 2030, the Kingdom’s ambitious economic and social reform program aimed at opening Saudi Arabia to the world. As part of this vision, Saudi Arabia aims to attract 150 million annual visits to the country by 2030.

Arved Muhlen, Chief Commercial Officer at Saudia, commented, “We take great pride in introducing the world to Saudi Arabia through our stopover visa initiative. The seamless digital journey for our guests epitomizes the hospitality that defines Saudia’s flying experience.”
