Etihad Airways unveils world’s most expensive ticket at £55,000

Etihad’s ‘Residence Suite’ is more than just a seat — it’s a sky-high luxury apartment

Abu Dhabi: Etihad Airways has set a new benchmark for luxury air travel with the introduction of its ultra-exclusive *Residence Suite*, offering the world’s most expensive one-way airline ticket, priced at £55,000 (around ₹55 lakh), a news report stated.

This extraordinary experience is designed for those seeking the pinnacle of comfort and privacy aboard the Airbus A380.

Situated on the aircraft’s upper deck, the 125-square-foot suite features three distinct rooms, including a private living area, a bedroom with a double bed, and an en-suite bathroom. The bedroom is outfitted with luxurious Italian linens and a 27-inch flat-screen TV, perfectly positioned for comfortable viewing from the bed.

The *Residence Suite* experience extends beyond the physical space, with an exceptional level of service. Passengers enjoy the attention of a personal butler trained at London’s prestigious Savoy Hotel and a dedicated onboard chef who crafts gourmet meals to suit each guest’s preferences.

A travel concierge is available to arrange every aspect of the journey, from securing reservations at Michelin-starred restaurants to booking VIP access to exclusive events.

Before the flight even begins, passengers are treated to a chauffeured drive to the airport, along with private check-in services. Once on board, they can access a private lounge and benefit from the assistance of a highly-trained in-flight nanny from Norland College, the prestigious institution that has provided nannies to the British royal family.

Etihad’s ‘Residence Suite’ is more than just a seat — it’s a sky-high luxury apartment, providing unparalleled comfort, exclusivity, and tailor-made service for the world’s most discerning travellers.
